Green Bites 1- Shopping Bag Recycling
You know all of those plastic bags you get from Walmart, Target, Kroger, IGA and on and on?
Rather than putting them in the trash and filling our landfills with plastic, give them a new life and use them for trash bags.
Optain bag-sized waste-baskets, like Longenberger has for trash and you can put these bags to good use.
Also use these plastic bags to store your recycles like pop cans, water bottles and other glass and plastic recyclables.
Green Bites 1 Fact:
When we reuse 10 tons of plastic bags, that is the equivilant to 110 barrels of oil that is saved.
Rather than buying new books from the bookstore, take a trip to the used book store and see if you can pickup some selections there. You save the paper and a bunch of money.
I go to the used bookstore and buy 8 to 10 selections at a time because I love to read so much. I can usually pick them up for 75% off.
When I'm through with them I drop them off at the local library so we are being doubly green.
No books in landfil for us!
