Geranium, Hardy Pink: Enjoy clear pink blossoms that grow on near, mound-shaped plants with charming bright green, notched leaves.
Plants reach only 18" high and are greatly improved over the common species. These are not the large-flowering greenhouse pelargoniums, but compact-growing, outdoor plants with superb coloring.
Make interesting border plants and grow well in rock gardens. Plant in ordinary soil in a sunny place, 8-12" apart. Drought-tolerant.
Cranesbill typically are divided into annual and perennial varieties. Don't confuse the two as the annuals are usually planted as container plants, window box plants or as house plants.
The Perennial version of the Cranesbill is a very robust, profuse flowering, substantial perennial plant.
It gets the name "Cranesbill" from the bill-like extension on the seed capsules on many varieties.
Clumping habit species have a deep green foliage and they grow in mounds up to 24 inches in diameter, with small cup-like flowers that come in a wide range of colors, form white, pink, lavender to the blues and purples that they are know for.
The annual versions are plant species 'pelargonium'
Sew seed in the early spring. Seeding is very easy with cranesbill Many cranesbill will self-sew but will not come true to color.

Geranium, Splish Splash: A geranium unlike any you have seen. Splish Splash geranium has pure white blooms splashed with lavender blue streaks.

Astilbe:
Upright feathery flower spikes and ferny foliage make astilbe's fine companions for the more mounding Cranesbill. Both thrive in rich, moist soil.
Daylily:
Blooming more or less at the same time as geraniums, yellow, gold and orange daylilies make perfect partners for blue or violet Cranesbill.
Iris:
The vertical sword-shaped leaves of Siberian iris bring height and a textural change when planted with Cranesbill. The flowers of Caesar's Brother iris echo the color of Johnson's Blue or showy geranium.
Veronica:
In a sunny spot, the spikes of clear blue flowers of Crater Lake Blue veronica provide vertical accent against saucer-shaped pink or blue flowered and mounding Cranesbill.
Geranium, Hardy Blue: Hardy Blue Geraniums are charming, compact-growing, outdoor geraniums. The pretty cup-shaped flowers are a vivid blue color.
They contrast nicely with the attractive, fresh green foliage. Reaching only 15-18" tall, they make colorful border plants and thrive in rock garden settings. Best of all they bloom from May to September.
Hardy Blue Cranesbill perform quite well in ordinary garden soil, and they are drought tolerant. Plant 8-12" apart in ordinary soil in sun or shade. Drought tolerant. One of the most adaptable of all the hardy geraniums.!

Spacing: Space 24" - 36" apart when planting
Fertilizer: Use Osmocote Fertilizer and spread over surface of the ground once every 6 months. Use about 1/2 to 1 small handful, depending on size of plants.
Water/Soil Requirements: Grow in moist, well-drained, humus soil.
