The beautiful white, pick and red blooms keep going all year until the first frost as well.
Foliage is very attractive too. You can get them in green or burgundy colors, which in itself gives you some diversity in color arrangements.
Like most annuals, pinch off the growing tips after planting to sent more strength down to the root structure. Occasionally pinch during the season to encourage branching and fullness in the plants.
It does well in a variety of conditions, but to keep it its most luxuriant best, give it light shade; rich, well-drained soil; and ample water. It also loves plenty of fertilizer, so be generous.
Plant annual begonias in spring after all danger of frost has passed. No need to deadhead this flower unless you want to, it's "self cleaning!"
Propagation is done most from leaf, stem or rhizome cuttings.
They can be grown from seed, but the seeds are extremely small (has been described as dust-like).
